M. Rastislav Štefánik Monument (Ivanka pri Dunaji)

Highlights
The memorial site where the co-founder of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, a prominent scientist, General Milan Rastislav Štefánik tragically died with an Italian crew. In 1923, at the place where his plane crashed, according to the design of the national artist and architect Dušan Jurkovič, a memorial with mound and Slovak linden trees around was built. It is often used by cyclists who take a rest on the grass near the „pyramid“ and continue along the cycle path to Bratislava.
